Slaying dragons and icons

Yesterday something I wrote and had published about a certain iconic but arrogant organisation caused a bit of a kerfuffle in the media which in turn affected their standing on the share market, and not in a good way! I don't feel bad about it though, they totally deserved it.

Nice to see that even in these media spin controlled days, occasionally the pen can still slay a corporate dragon.

Well done - and how wonderful to have affected the share price! It's literary activisim, or activist authorship, or something combining two excellent things.

I like the phrase activist authorship. I also think it's karma biting this company on the bum. They knew what we were going to publish and I gave them ample opportunities to have a right of reply but were always "too busy" whenever I called to talk about it, in fact one of their media flunkies said that I asked "difficult questions that were hard to answer" - how shocking. Now they're not so busy to talk - hee hee. As for who they are..think national icon, think hopping marsupials and airborne type activities.

Ha! I knew it! I've been reading a bit about them because the bank I teach at (almost wrote "work for" shudder) is a big transport financier and one of the areas they work in is airport finance. Can you send me/tell me where to read your article? I assume it's about bad customer service...;) Maybe I can use it in my lessons.
