Overheard in the tearoom

Three grown men, sipping coffee:

Man number one: "Well everybody knows that danishes made in Denmark are far superior to the ones we get here."

Men two and three nodding enthusiastically:"oh yes , yes of course."

Actually I've done some fieldwork in this area and I can safely assure you that all pastries made in Northern Europe are far superior to those made in Oz. However, in an interesting twist, in nroth Germany they actually call the more mundane, dull pastries Copenhageners, perhaps in an attempt to lessen the glory of their northern couterparts.
